The inhabitants of Tessenei sub-zone said that they would sustain popular initiative in connection with environmental hygiene and backing implementation of development programs.
Tessenei, 14 November 2013 – The inhabitants of Tessenei sub-zone said that they would sustain popular initiative in connection with environmental hygiene and backing implementation of development programs. They expressed such readiness at a meeting with the sub-zonal Administrator, during which he explained that the community ventures accomplished in collaboration with members of the People’s Army have given rise to remarkable impact.
Mr. Tesfalem Bahta, Administrator of the sub-zone, called on Area and village administrators to promote the pace of such community-led campaigns and noted the vitality of exerting efforts regarding popular awareness pertaining to communicable diseases. In this connection, he urged the inhabitants to pay due attention to the ongoing community sensitization activities, and called for further parental collaboration in the course of the immunization campaign against Polio due to be launched this month.
Mr. Tesfalem also explained the vitality of collaboration on the part of the inhabitants pertaining to compiling up-to-date statistical data as regards the number of livestock and saddle animals in the locality.
The participants of the meeting lauded the government’s commitment towards improving the standard of living of nationals, and put forth views regarding a number of issues.
In closing remarks, the sub-zonal Administrator advised the inhabitants to enhance prudent utilization of social service facilities.
