Reports indicated that the dirt road linking Koatit and Ber’andi villages is being renovated through integrated undertaking involving the inhabitants of Tserona and Mai-Aini sub-zones, as well as EDF members.

Mai-Aini, 15 November 2013 – Reports indicated that the dirt road linking Koatit and Ber’andi villages is being renovated through integrated undertaking involving the inhabitants of Tserona and Mai-Aini sub-zones, as well as EDF members.

Mr. Habteab Tsegai, managing director of the Administration of Adi-Keren area, and Lt. Tesfamariam Tekle pointed out that the strategic route serves more than 14 villages, and that its erosion during the rainy season has been causing transport problems.

Among the EDF members, Nega Measho and Mohammed Omar, as well as Banuna Tekle and Mohammed Mussa explained that their engagement in the venture is a continuation of the initiative they have been taking to collaborate in community-led campaigns. They further called for stepped-up popular participation with a view to finalizing the task shortly.
