Inhabitants of Embatkala area to raise participation in popular undertakings

The inhabitants of Embatkala Administrative area, Ginda sub-zone, said that they would raise participation in popular undertakings in a more organized manner.

Embatkala, 18 November 2013 – The inhabitants of Embatkala Administrative area, Ginda sub-zone, said that they would raise participation in popular undertakings in a more organized manner.

They further indicated that they are engaged in renovation of eroded dirt roads and soil and water conservation activities in line with the ongoing joint venture between members of the People’s Army and communities.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Tekie Girmatsion, Mr. Mohammed Idris Mahmoud and Ms. Mihret Gebreyohannes expressed conviction that the weekly undertaking has significant impact in improving the livelihood of the community. They also pointed out that active participation is being witnessed in the process.

Mr. Idris Ali Dermas, Administrator of the area, disclosed that the task also involves protection of water resources along rivers.
