Health experts called on students in the Boarding School in Mograib, Gogne sub-zone, to play due role in promoting community health, especially in lowering instances of commuicable diseases.
Gogne, 18 November 2013 – Health experts called on students in the Boarding School in Mograib, Gogne sub-zone, to play due role in promoting community health, especially in lowering instances of commuicable diseases.
Speaking at the meeting thereof, Mr. Sultan Hagos, head of promotions in the Health Ministry’s branch in Gash-Barka region, urged the students to raise their awareness pertaining to communicable diseases and their prevention methods so as to guarantee a healthier community, besides raising their participation in environmental hygiene activities.
He further stated that the declining instances of communicable diseases in the area are the outcome of the ongoing community sensitization ventures and other health services.
Mr. Bahabelom Tiumzgi, head of the health center in Gogne, equally said that the students should demonstrate commitment in furthering community wellbeing through pursuing the guidance of health professionals.
The students expressed readiness to collaborate in health undertakings focusing on public health.
