Board of NUEW branch in Europe holds 3rd meeting in Frankfurt

The Administrative Board of the NUEW branch in Europe held 3rd meeting last weekend in Frankfurt city in the presence of the representative of public and community affairs in Germany, Mr. Kahsai Tewolde and other members of the Eritrean Embassy.

Asmara, 19 November 2013 – The Administrative Board of the NUEW branch in Europe held 3rd meeting last weekend in Frankfurt city in the presence of the representative of public and community affairs in Germany, Mr. Kahsai Tewolde and other members of the Eritrean Embassy.

Reports indicate that Chairpersons of the Union’s 5 country branches conducted in-depth discussion on the report presented by Ms. Kidan Tesfamichael, Chairperson of the continental branch.

Moreover, the participants expressed readiness to put up efforts towards raising financial capability of fellow nationals, especially youths, besides sustaining commitment and follow-up to finalize projects of implementation underway in the Homeland through the community’s funds.

Meanwhile, members of the NUEW branch in Germany have extended more than 26,433 Euros to the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) collected through 4-year fundraising activities in connection with the Day of the Disabled on December 3. Ms. Mebrat Habtu, chairperson of the Union’s branch, disclosed that the members are making preparations to mark the Day in the respective German cities with a view to generating fund backing projects being implemented by the government and the ENWVA.
