Inhabitants of Areza sub-zone to back up implementation of development programs

The inhabitants of Areza sub-zone said that they would back up implementation of development programs.

Areza, 22 November 2013 – The inhabitants of Areza sub-zone said that they would back up implementation of development programs. They made the pledge at the meeting with Mr. Efrem Gebrekristos, Administrator of the Southern region, during which they asserted that social service facilities in the locality have made significant impact in improving community livelihood.

Among the inhabitants, Rev. Tesfagiorgis Berhe and Ms. Fiori Gebrehiwet called for further efforts with a view to promoting sustainability of potable water supply in the locality, and expressed appreciation for the pace of development in the area.

The regional administrator affirmed the Administration’s commitment towards meeting community demand for putting in place more facilities in a prioritized manner, and pointed out that a vehicle would be dispatched aiming at sanitation activity. He also urged the community to sustain initiative in connection with soil and water conservation.
