A seminar was conducted in Ginda town involving Area and village administrators, religious leaders, heads of line ministries as well as business persons aiming at giving impetus to sports activities at sub-zonal level.
Ginda, 22 November 2013 – A seminar was conducted in Ginda town involving Area and village administrators, religious leaders, heads of line ministries as well as business persons aiming at giving impetus to sports activities at sub-zonal level.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Omar Yahiya, Administrator of Ginda sub-zone, called on the participants and communities to extend a helping hand in endeavors towards laying the groundwork for community-based sports development. He further expressed the Administration’s readiness to extend material and financial support targeting reinforcement of sports activities among children and youths.
Also speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hisabu Gebresilasie, head of the Sports Commission’s branch in the Northern Red Sea region, noted the irreplaceable role of communities as regards the realization of the cherished goal. He also encouraged sports persons to inspire the norm of exchange of experience among them.
The seminar participants put forth views focusing on several issues, and said that they would play due role to this end.
