Inhabitants of Anseba region express readiness to reinforce participation for ensuring public health
During the occasion of Polio Vaccination Week, the inhabitants of Anseba region expressed readiness to reinforce participation in ensuring the health of the society in general and that of children in particular.
Keren, 25 November 2013- During the occasion of Polio Vaccination Week, the inhabitants of Anseba region expressed readiness to reinforce participation in ensuring the health of the society in general and that of children in particular.
They further indicated that with the sustainable activitiy the Health Ministry if conducting their children have been safe from polio virus, and that they would work hard for the success of similar activities.
Ms. Fatma Mohammed-Idris and Ms. Brkita Mohammed-Nur said that the activities being conducted on the part of the Government to ensure the health of the society is registering satisfactory outcome, and that they are ready to take their children to the vaccination centers.
Likewise, Ms. Sinit Zeru and Huruia Jemal indicated that the polio vaccination program being provided to citizens in remote areas of the country attests to the interest the Government maintains towards nationals, and called on every citizen to work for its success.
Mr. Yohannes Goshu, Head of family and community health in the Health Ministry’s branch in the region, explained that professional human resources and ample medicine and equipment are being deployed to control the prevalence of polio disease, and that during the vaccination campaign conducted in 11 subzones from 20 to 24 November, 95% of children under the age of 5 have been vaccinated.
