President Isaias Afwerki and Field Marshal Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Beshir, President of the Republic of Sudan, held talks on bilateral issues on 25 November at the port city of Port Sudan.
Asmara, 26 November 2013- President Isaias Afwerki and Field Marshal Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Beshir, President of the Republic of Sudan, held talks on bilateral issues on 25 November at the port city of Port Sudan.
During their meeting, the two leaders agreed to reinforce the existing mutual cooperation and strengthen mutual development and economic projects, particularly in the transportation, tourism, marine resources and mining sectors.
They also agreed on exchanging visits and consultations on both sides so as to strengthen the existing relationship.
In another development, President Isaias met with Sudanese investors and members of the business community, during which he gave extensive briefings as regards the different investment opportunities in Eritrea. He further invited them to come to Eritrea in person and see the opportunities first hand.
The Sudanese investors and members of the business community appreciated the briefings they received and expressed willingness to participate in such ventures.
Likewise, President Isaias accompanied by President Omar Hassan Al-Beshir visited the exhibition organized by the University of Sudanese Red Sea region depicting the customs and traditions of the Sudanese people in general and that of the Red Sea region in particular.
