Eritrean National Cycling team leaves for Egypt to participate in the African Championship 2013

The Eritrean national cycling team left for Egypt to day to participate in the African Championship 2013 to be conducted from 29 November to 5 December.

Asmara, 27 November 2013- The Eritrean national cycling team left for Egypt today to participate in the African Championship 2013 to be conducted from 29 November to 5 December.

Mr. Musie Asihiel, national team coach, indicated that the national team had been making intensive training as of 11 November, and that Daniel Teklehaimanot and Meron Rusom will compete with senior teams. Besides Natnael Berhane, Merhawi Kudus, Meron Tosheme and Tesfom Okbamarial would complete with under 23 individuals.

Wohazit Kidane, Yerusalem Gebru, Tsehainesh Futsum and Senait Megis will also participate in the continental competition.

It is to be recalled that the Eritrean National Cycling Team had been the Africa champion in the continental competition held in 2010 in Rwanda, in addition to 2011 in Eritrea and in Burkina Faso in 2012.
