Training provided to school directors and supervisors in Southern region

As part of the teaching and learning process, a training program has been provided to more than 100 school directors and supervisors in the Southern region. Mendefera, 29 November 2013- As part of the teaching and learning process, a training program has been provided to more than 100 school directors and supervisors in the Southern region.
Mr. Woldegergis Mogos,head of research and planning at the Education Ministry’s branch in the region, indicated that the training that focused on teaching included preparation of lesson plan, methods of assessing students’ performance, administration and supervision.

He further stated that many of the trainees were recently promoted from teaching for long years, and that the training was aimed at equipping them with management skills.

In a speech he delivered during the closing of the training, Mr. Kaleab Tesfaselasie, Head of Education Ministry’s branch in the region, explained the importance of such training to the school directors and supervisors, and that such training programs would continue.

The trainees on their part said that the training they received would help them in their work, and called for its sustainability.
