The Ministry of Education’s branch in Dekemhare sub-zone has called for enhanced community role as regards promoting literacy level.

Dekemhare, 09 December 2013 – The Ministry of Education’s branch in Dekemhare sub-zone has called for enhanced community role as regards promoting literacy level. It made the call at a meeting in which representatives of area and sub-zonal administrations took part, during which it was stated that further focus should be made targeting citizens of age group ranging between 15 and 45.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Rigbe Kifle, head of the branch office, explained the goals and objectives of the Adult Education program, while Mr. Suleiman Ahmed, one of the coordinators of the program, pointed out that a total of 10 learning stations were opened in the locality this year.

Mr. Sium Gebrekristos, Administrator of the sub-zone, stated that it has been working on priority basis to this end, and called on Area administrations to raise collaboration for the realization of the cherished goal.
