The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, has called on government bodies and communities to enhance integrated efforts in the implementation of development programs.
Keren, 11 December 2013 – The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, has called on government bodies and communities to enhance integrated efforts in the implementation of development programs. He made the call at a meeting with the residents of Keren city, during which it was indicated that the government has been exerting stepped-up endeavors to promote equitability of social service facilities.
Accordingly, the ongoing infrastructural activities in the region comprise the putting in place of schools, health institutions, roads and potable water supply facilities, besides renovation of roads.
The regional Administrator went on to point out that the water conservation undertakings carried out recently in collaboration with communities and members of the People’s Army have given rise to gratifying outcome as regards meeting the water demand for humans and livestock, in addition to enrichment of underground water resource. He also indicated that a plan would be drawn up to further transport outreach in the different areas of the region which are characterized by mountainous topography.
