Mendefera, 12 December 2013 – Health professionals in the Southern region’s Referral Hospital have obtained training as regards handling emergency-entailing medical cases such as stroke, internal bleeding, burn, poisoning, fainting, ophthalmic injury and related maternity cases.
Mr. Isaac Tekle, head of medical service in the Health Ministry’s regional branch, explained that the organizing of the training course is in line with the Ministry’s efforts to maintain prudence in connection with attaining standards and ensuring up-to-date capacity of expertise.
In the same vein, Mr. Abraham Yemane, head of the branch office, noted the importance of availability of competent personnel pertaining to promoting service quality in this regard, and said that medical staff working in emergency sections should maintain timely knowledge, besides adhering to modern medical technology.
The medical professionals expressed satisfaction with the training.
