The inhabitants of Fana Administrative area, Hagaz sub-zone, have expressed satisfaction with potable water supply.
Hagaz, 12 December 2013 – The inhabitants of Fana Administrative area, Hagaz sub-zone, have expressed satisfaction with potable water supply. The community members further indicated that they used to travel to Daerotai and other far-off areas to fetch water for human and livestock purposes. At present, however, they are in a position to save time and energy in this connection upon becoming beneficiaries of a water project based on water well along Hashferai River.
Among the inhabitants, Mr. Saleh Abdalla, Mr. Ali Hassen and Akhiar Mohammed-Nur, student, lauded the government’s commitment as regards promoting social service outreach in remote areas, and pointed out that women and students in particular could spend lesser time in household chores, and thus having more time for other activities. They further said that they would sustain judicious utilization of the facility.
Ramadan Mussa, in charge of the project’s follow-up, explained that its launching has inspired community wellbeing, and indicated the community’s readiness to shoulder the responsibility of the facility’s renovation in case of malfunctioning.
The potable water supply in the Administrative area serves the villages of Fana, Ad-Nisur, Ad-Alamin, Kushet, Cheat-Tsaeda and Sheleshey.
