President Isaias takes part in Kenya’s 50th Independence Day anniversary celebrations

President Isaias Afwerki took part in the Republic of Kenya’s 50th Independence Day anniversary celebrations which was conducted today at Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi.

Asmara, 12 December 2013 – President Isaias Afwerki took part in the Republic of Kenya’s 50th Independence Day anniversary celebrations which was conducted today at Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi.

President Isaias left for the country at the invitation of Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta to participate in the country’s national jubilee celebrations.

It is to be recalled that on arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyata International Airport, President Isaias was accorded warm welcome accompanied by traditional cultural performances.

Kenya achieved independence from Britain on 12 December 1963.
