President back home concluding visit to Kenya

President Isaias Afwerki returned home today concluding visit to Kenya for participating in the Golden Jubilee of the country’s Independence Day anniversary at the invitation of the country’s President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Asmara, 14 December 2013 – President Isaias Afwerki returned home today concluding visit to Kenya for participating in the Golden Jubilee of the country’s Independence Day anniversary at the invitation of the country’s President Uhuru Kenyatta.

It is to be recalled that a number of Heads of State took part in the country’s 50th Independence Day anniversary celebrations at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi which witnessed student displays and cultural performances.

President Isaias also held talks with a number of State leaders on strengthening bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest, according to reports from the Kenyan capital. Moreover, he held a meeting yesterday with members of the Eritrean community residing in Kenya.

In the course of the meeting that witnessed the participation of many Eritrean youths, the President gave briefings regarding the objective situation in the Homeland and gave explanation on questions raised by the participants.
