The Eritrean Medical Association (ERIMA) today held its 19th Annual Conference at Asmara Palace Hotel.
Asmara, 21 December 2013 – The Eritrean Medical Association (ERIMA) today held its 19th Annual Conference at Asmara Palace Hotel.
In opening remarks, Dr. Bereket Sibhatu, Chairman of the Association, pointed out that it has been committed to carrying out compiling research data and exchange of educational ideas. He further indicated that the current theme pertaining to gastro-intestinal problems in the country attests to such efforts on the part of the Association.
Accordingly, the mission of the Association is bound with the national endeavors of ensuring promoting societal wellbeing through ensuring professional competency regarding eradication and control of diseases. Moreover, the increasing number of Association members demonstrates the growing number of medical professionals being nurtured.
In the course of the meeting, the participants conducted in-depth discussion on the papers presented focusing on treatment of gastro-intestinal problems and the challenges thereof, causes and development of the related diseases, as well as effectiveness of the existing treatment approaches and new findings.
Established in 1994, ERIMA has a total of 247 members.
