The Education Ministry’s branch in the Central region has organized training for a total of 500 new teachers focusing on student assessment.
Asmara, 30 December 2013 – The Education Ministry’s branch in the Central region has organized training for a total of 500 new teachers focusing on student assessment.
The trainees comprise diploma and degree graduates, and the training would help them cope with the challenges of the teaching profession, including classroom management, stated Mr. Belai Habtegabir, Head of planning and training in the branch office. He also indicated that the current training is a continuation of a previous one in which the number of beneficiaries stood at 100.
Accordingly, the training course involves application of scrutiny procedures regarding students’ academic capacity and ethics.
Mr. Simon Mehari, a trainer from the branch office, urged the new teachers to translate the knowledge they have acquired into practice. The group on their part expressed satisfaction with the training, and asserted readiness to this end.
