Southern region’s Referral Hospital organizes training in laboratory technology for 50 professionals

The Referral Hospital of the Southern region has organized a training course on laboratory technology for 50 professionals.

Mendefera, 30 December 2013 – The Referral Hospital of the Southern region has organized a training course on laboratory technology for 50 professionals.

Mr. Abraham Yemane, Head of the Health Ministry’s branch in the region, pointed out that efforts are being exerted to raise quality of health services. He further called on the beneficiaries of the training to use it as a stepping stone to career development and serve the people with dedication.

Mr. Yishak Tekle, Head of health service in the branch office, disclosed that the training is aimed at standardization of laboratory service, and that it dealt with proper handling of samples and preservation of blood. The trainees comprise laboratory technicians and other health professionals working in in-patient departments, he added.

The trainees expressed satisfaction with the training, and asserted that they would strive to attain higher career level.
