Gahtelai, 04 January 2014 – The residents of Gahtelai, Ginda sub-zone, said that they would back up implementation of development programs. They made the pledge at a meeting, during which it was stated that popular initiatives taken in collaboration with members of the People’s Army regarding soil and water conservation, as well as environmental hygiene have borne commendable outcome.
Mr. Asefaw Andemichael, Administrator of Gahtelai semi-urban center, indicated that gratifying accomplishments have been registered in the domain of food production and other development activities in the course of the year 2013, and lauded the active participation of the inhabitants to this end. The locality is witnessing growing number of social service facilities vis-à-vis other types of development, and that influential community members are urged to enhance role in this regard, he added.
Likewise, Mr. Omar Yahiya, Administrator of the sub-zone, called on Gahtelai residents to further communal activities through supplementing activities focusing on social service outreach and other development ventures.
