Asmara, 06 January 2014 – Reporters across the country said that the work assessment they conducted recently in Asmara city is a springboard to better accomplishment.
In the course of the meeting, the strong sides and prevailing challenges in connection with reporting were addressed thoroughly vis-à-vis the relations with stakeholders and future plan. The participants of the meeting expressed conviction that such meetings have major impact as regards exchange of experience and enhancing professional relationship, thus giving rise to creating mutual understanding.
Moreover, the Heads of TV, Radio and Press Departments, as well as that of Finance and Administration gave briefings focusing on the reporters’ work plans and their due role. They also replied to questions raised by the participants.
Among the reporters, Akal Mebrahtu, Mohammed Osman, Ahmed Dani, Semere Eyob and Aster Gebrai explained that they managed to have clear understanding regarding the views and moves of the institutions, and called on pertinent bodies to extend a helping hand towards facilitating the reporting process. The reporters further disclosed that the meeting addressed popular feedbacks, and called on the Ministry to focus on further human resource capacity-building activities.
The Ministry of Information has reporters in the nation’s 42 sub-zones.
