Hagaz, 07 December 2014 – The Administration of Hagaz semi-urban center pointed out that it could earn higher revenue in connection with the conducting of more activities in 2013. It made the remark at an assessment meeting during which it was stated that a number of development accomplishments have been registered through joint collaboration between the community and members of the People’s Army, which undertaking has created momentum for still more gratifying outcome.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Teklehaimanot Samuel, Administrator of the locality, disclosed that a 14-Km water pipe has been installed, in addition to the distribution of 45 water-meters. Collection of land and other taxes, construction of a livestock marketplace, fencing of martyrs cemetery and renovation of water and other facilities are among the activities undertaken in the course of the year, he added.
Accordingly, a total of 1,372 Km. of terraces have been constructed in farming areas, and the Administration is expected to step up efforts towards facilitating collection of tax this year.
The participants of the meeting put forth views focusing on several issues, and said that they would enhance collaboration in a bid to realizing the Administration’s cherished goals.
In closing remarks, Ms. Amna Haj, Administrator of Hagaz sub-zone, expressed appreciation for the achievements made through community initiatives that incorporated input of the People’s Army. She further indicated that there prevails all-round readiness for stepped-up collaboration in the locality’s future development tasks.
