A total of 70 youths in the Southern Red Sea region lauded the initiatives taken regarding conservation of relics in Rehaita area.
Assab, 07 December 2014 – A total of 70 youths in the Southern Red Sea region lauded the initiatives taken regarding conservation of relics in Rehaita area. They expressed their appreciation during a tour they made to the historical sites in the area, during which they received briefings pertaining to the community’s role to this end.
Among the youths, Senait Gebretinsae, Shami Mohammed and Bori Mohammed voiced satisfaction with the exposure, and indicated that the cultural youth organization of the natives vis-à-vis its positive impact in conservation of heritages attests to the community’s praiseworthy awareness. They also called for further initiatives targeting popularization of the historical sites in the region.
Mr. Osman Abdulkadir, Head of the NUEYS branch in the region, said that a number of programs have been mapped out for implementation this year focusing on raising the awareness of youths, and that tours within and outside the region are included in the plan.
