Gash-Barka region: Raised youth awareness regarding law described prerequisite in prevention of crimes

The Office of Police Force in Gash-Barka region pointed out that raised youth awareness regarding law constitutes a prerequisite in prevention of crimes.

Barentu, 08 January 2014 – The Office of Police Force in Gash-Barka region pointed out that raised youth awareness regarding law constitutes a prerequisite in prevention of crimes. It made the remark at a meeting with High School students in Barentu city, during which Col. Solomon Tadesse, Commander of the Office, called on them to enhance role to this end. He further pointed out that the Office has been exerting efforts in a bid to raise youth awareness in this regard, in addition to lowering instances of traffic accidents.

The participants of the meeting put forth views focusing on several issues.

In closing remarks, Col. Solomon emphasized the role of students in crime prevention.
