The residents of Ginda town have reiterated readiness to sustain communal initiatives in development activities targeting soil and water conservation as well as environmental stability.

Ginda, 08 January 2014 – The residents of Ginda town have reiterated readiness to sustain communal initiatives in development activities targeting soil and water conservation as well as environmental stability.

Among the residents, Ms. Bekhita Mahmoud, Ms. Genet Kahsai, Mr. Ibrahim Mahmoud and Ms. Tsega Bahta pointed out that they have been carrying out effective popular undertakings in collaboration with members of the People’s Army, and that they would step up participation in the future.

Mr. Musa Mohammed, Managing Director of the town’s 02-Administrative area, disclosed that the residents are engaged in such tasks every Thursday. He also explained that the activities pertain to eradication of potential mosquito reproduction swamps, environmental sanitation, construction of terraces and water catchment walls, as well as preservation of wood enclosures, among others.
