The NUEYS branch in the Southern region has called on members to assume higher responsibility in State affairs.
Mendefera, 10 January 2014 – The NUEYS branch in the Southern region has called on members to assume higher responsibility in State affairs. It made the remark at an assessment meeting, during which Mr. Girmai Gebru, Head of the branch office, pointed out that the members have demonstrated active participation in various domains.
He further urged them to raise their political awareness and play due role in nurturing virtuous fellows, and thus live up to the nation’s expectations.
Habtom Kidane from the Union’s Research and Human Resource Development Department expressed appreciation for the prevailing sense of maturity and excellence among youths, and urged them to step up input in the future.
Also speaking at the meeting, Mr. Abraham Yohanes, Head of Culture and Heritage in the region, outlined the role of cadres during the Eritrean armed struggle for independence, and said that youth representatives should emulate the exemplary leadership role then witnessed.
The youth representatives on their part asserted that they would enhance role in this regard.
