The Mai-Temenai Berhan Eye Hospital which has been under renovation for the past three years resumes providing service on 11 January.
Asmara, 12 January 2014- The Mai-Temenai Berhan Eye Hospital which has been under renovation for the past three years resumes providing service on 11 January.
During the official ceremony in which Ms. Amna Nur-Hushien, Minister of Health, has been present, Dr. Genet Mersesi’e, Medical Director of the hospital, indicated that total renovation has been conducted on the hospital, and that new building has been constructed for pharmacy, laboratory, card and surgical services.
Mr. Debesai Haielom, Administrator of the hospital, indicated that currently the hospital is equipped with enough medical materials and professional human resources, and called on beneficiaries to make judicious use of the facility.
Mr. Wehab Abdulkadir and Nurse Letekidan Berhe, members of the hospitals, on their part explained that before renovation of the hospital they had been encountering difficulty to provide proper services, and that the renovation of the hospital would motivate them to render efficient eye treatment to the public.
The Sibrit cultural troupe added color to the inaugural ceremony.
