Reports indicated that the 32 Km-long dirt road linking Hai and Eddi in Central Denkalia sub-zone has been renovated through popular initiative which witnessed collaboration of members of the People’s Army.
Assab, 16 January 2014 – Reports indicated that the 32 Km-long dirt road linking Hai and Eddi in Central Denkalia sub-zone has been renovated through popular initiative which witnessed collaboration of members of the People’s Army.
Among the People’s Army members, Mohammed-Ali Saleh and Mr. Abubaker Ali expressed satisfaction with extending labor support in the undertaking, and that they would sustain their participation in such ventures. They further lauded the community members for integrating their material and labor resources for the realization of the goal, and asserted that the coherent communal relation with EDF members remains intact nationwide.
Mr. Hamad Gebru, head of administration and finance in the sub-zonal administration, and Mr. Ahmedin Hussein, Administrator of Ereble area, pointed out that the road has been causing transport problems, and that its renovation has not only ensured convenience for vehicle mobility but also provided the shortest route.
A number of community-led activities are being carried out in Central Denkalia sub-zone with a view to renovating dirt roads, according to reports.
