President Omar Hassan Al-Beshir here on official working visit

President Omar Hassan Al-Beshir of the Republic of Sudan today arrived in Asmara on official working visit.

Asmara, 16 January 2014 – President Omar Hassan Al-Beshir of the Republic of Sudan today arrived in Asmara on official working visit.

On arrival at Asmara International Airport, he was accorded warm welcome by President Isaias Afwerki and Senior government officials accompanied by salute of the Guard of Honor and national anthems of both countries.

Later on, the two leaders conducted first round talks at the State House.

In the course of the meeting, both sides exchanged views on ways and means of upgrading the prevailing historic and people-based bilateral relations, as well as the implementation of previously concluded agreements. Moreover, they discussed new areas of partnership, regional developments and issues of interest to both countries.
