President Isaias hosts dinner in honor of Sudanese leader

President Isaias Afwerki last night hosted dinner in Massawa honoring President Omar Hassan Al-Beshir of the Republic of Sudan.

Massawa, 17 January 2014 – President Isaias Afwerki last night hosted dinner in Massawa honoring President Omar Hassan Al-Beshir of the Republic of Sudan.

Following their first round meeting at the State House, the two leaders proceeded to the port city through the Filfil-Solomuna route.

The dinner reception witnessed colorful performances by Sibrit Cultural Troupe.

It is to be recalled that both sides exchanged views on ways and means of upgrading the prevailing historic and people-based bilateral relations, as well as the implementation of previously concluded agreements. Moreover, they discussed new areas of partnership, regional developments and issues of interest to both countries.

During his stay, President Omar Al-Beshir would visit a number of places and economic establishments, according to reports.
