Programs set for implementation targeting enhancement of youth role in national development activities, Says NUEYS Chairman

The Chairman of the NUEYS, Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, said that extensive programs have been set for implementation this year targeting enhancement of youth role in national development activities.

Assab, 17 January 2014 – The Chairman of the NUEYS, Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, said that extensive programs have been set for implementation this year targeting enhancement of youth role in national development activities. He made the remark at a seminar with the Union’s members in the Port city of Assab, Tio and Eddi. In the course of the seminar, he advised them to live up to the nation’s expectations through equipping themselves with virtue factors such as timely information.

Mr. Saleh further shed light on the charted programs and the opportunities thereof, and called on the youths to demonstrate excellence in this era of intellectual and technical challenges characterized by globalization and boom in information technology. He also pointed out that Youth Centers are expected to step up input pertaining to equipping youths with knowledge and skill knowhow, and called for further collaboration of government bodies and parents as regards raising all-round awareness of the youth. Accordingly, a number of meetings and other programs are being conducted with a view to establishing mutual understanding in this regard.

Mr. Ibrahim Dirar from the PFDJ branch in the Southern Red Sea region stated that the organization has been working on priority basis as regards nurturing of dedicated and aware youths, and that the investments made on youths attest to this. Moreover, he called on the seminar participants to enhance resolve in State affairs.

The participants expressed appreciation for the extent the nation is investing on the youth, and asserted that they would play due role for the realization of the Union’s cherished goals.
