Gash-Barka region: PFDJ branch registers significant accomplishments in organizational, political and economic aspects

The PFDJ branch in Gash-Barka region indicated that it registered significant accomplishments in organizational, political and economic aspects last year.

Barentu, 21 January 2014 – The PFDJ branch in Gash-Barka region indicated that it registered significant accomplishments in organizational, political and economic aspects last year. It made the remark at an assessment meeting in Barentu city, during which Mr. Rezene Adonai, Secretary of the branch office, explained that the restructuring initiative taken in a bid to giving impetus to political organizational activities among communities and civil servants has borne positive impact.

He also called for pertinent bodies to step up efforts targeting reinforcement of development undertakings and political, as well as organizational activities this year.

Also speaking at the meeting, Mr. Rezene Michael and Ms. Nejat Ibrahim, heads of Political and organizational affairs in the branch office respectively, stated that the accomplishments registered last year pertain to the conducting of various awareness-raising seminars and meetings, nurturing of cadres, as well as raising school registration, among others.

In the same vein, the Administrator of Gash-Barka region, Mr. Mohammed Hamd, pointed out that the Administration’s activities and PFDJ’s ventures hold complementary nature, and called for higher participation on the part of communities and civil servants with a view to improving societal livings standard. Accordingly, coordinated endeavors of cadres remains to be a prerequisite as regards registering still more gratifying outcome.
