Call made to inhabitants of Hagaz sub-zone to reinforce participation in ensuring health of the society

Mr. Musie Gebrehiwot, head of community health in the sub-zone, called on the inhabitants of Hagaz sub-zone to reinforce participation in the efforts being conducted to ensure the health of the society.

Hagaz, 26 January 2014, Mr. Musie Gebrehiwot, head of community health in the sub-zone, called on the inhabitants of Hagaz sub-zone to reinforce participation in the efforts being conducted to ensure the health of the society.

At a seminar conducted for women volunteer health workers, Mr. Musie explained the importance of keeping environment sanitation in controlling communicable and non-communicable diseases in general and that of malaria in particular.

He also indicated that commendable efforts have been exerted to ensure health of mothers and children and that of the society, and called for proper use of impregnated bed nets.

Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim, head of social services in the sub-zone, on his part called for the sustainability of the awareness raising programs aimed at ensuring environmental sanitation.

The participants commended for the training program they were provided, and expressed readiness to work to ensure environmental sanitation and health of the society.

Reports indicate that there is “one women for ten families” program in Hagaz sub-zone, and there are over 900 women that are engaged in providing health related education.
