Eritrean female students in Sudan’s Ahfad University stage exhibition depicting Eritrean culture and lifestyle

Eritrean female students in Ahfad University in the Sudan last Saturday staged an exhibition depicting Eritrean culture and lifestyle.

Asmara, 28 January 2014 – Eritrean female students in Ahfad University in the Sudan last Saturday staged an exhibition depicting Eritrean culture and lifestyle.

Reports indicated that the exhibition witnessed display of various artistic works, traditional dresses, music and dance, and national cuisine, as well as information as regards tourism and historical sites, and that it drew appreciation on the part of viewers.

Among the students, Hellen Mehari and Saba Mebrahtu stated that they have been hosting such events on the basis of group initiative, and that the current exhibition involved the participation of the Eritrean community members, NUEW branch and the Eritrean Embassy in the Republic of Sudan. They also said that the preparation involved much energy as an additional workload to their academic pursuit. They also expressed satisfaction with the impact they made through the event.
