Central region: Training regarding water management and sanitation organized for community committee members

A training regarding water management and sanitation was organized for a total of 50 members of communal committees thereof in the Central region.

Asmara, 30 January 2014 – A training regarding water management and sanitation was organized for a total of 50 members of communal committees thereof in the Central region.

Mr. Yemane Abai, in charge of agriculture and land follow-up in the Administration of the Central region, indicated that the training was organized with a view to enhancing popular role as regards ensuring cleanliness of water and judicious handling of facilities. The trainees represent 8 villages, and more trainings would be conducted for the communities. Mr. Yemane explained the vital role of the trainees as regards furthering accessibility of clean water.

Among the trainees, Ms. Tiblets Woldeyesus and Mr. Bereket Eyasu expressed appreciation for the Government’s commitment towards promoting societal wellbeing, and called for the organizing of more such trainings in a bid to raising community awareness regarding environmental and water hygiene.
