A seminar has been conducted in Hagaz sub-zone with a view to inspiring sports activities witnessing the participation of heads of the regional branches of the Sports Commission and Federations,a members of the regional Assembly, as well as elders.
Hagaz, 31 January 2014 – A seminar has been conducted in Hagaz sub-zone with a view to inspiring sports activities witnessing the participation of heads of the regional branches of the Sports Commission and Federations,a members of the regional Assembly, as well as elders.
Mr. Saleh Ibrahim, Head of the Education Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone, disclosed that there prevails sports enthusiasm on the part of Federation heads along with budgetary input, and outlined the challenges in connection with giving impetus to such activities.
Also speaking at the meeting, Ms. Amna Haj, Administrator of the sub-zone, explained that one of the current quandaries pertains to the periodicity of sport schedules, and called for stepped-up community participation to this end.
Likewise, Mr. Abdullahi Al-Amin, Head of social service in Anseba region, equally urged the inhabitants of the sub-zone to encourage sports activities on the basis of effective harnessing of resources, and expressed the Administration’s readiness to collaborate in this regard.
Mr. Saleh Mohammed Abubaker, Sports Commissioner in Anseba region, said that the role of communities is of vital importance as regards overcoming the prevailing challenges, and that they would collaborate in organizing the necessary trainings.
The participants of the meeting elected new heads of Federations, and reiterated readiness to back up sports activities through mobilizing financial and labor resources.
