Members of the NUEYS in the Northern Red Sea region have voiced resolve to step up input in national development activities.
Massawa, 01 February 2014 – Members of the NUEYS in the Northern Red Sea region have voiced resolve to step up input in national development activities. They made the pledge last Thursday at an assessment meeting, during which it was stated that sustained efforts have been exerted in a bid to nurture competent youths through reinforcing organization.
Other accomplishments of the Union’s branch in the course of 2013 pertain to the organizing of training courses and facilitation of youth participation in a campaign seeking control of desert locust swarm, and renovation of water supply facilities.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Idris Osman, Head of the branch office, advised the youth to keep intact national values and ensure bright future through participation in State affairs. He also called on them to demonstrate enhanced role in the nation-building process.
Likewise, Mr. Haile Tewoldebirhan, Secretary of the PFDJ branch in the region, and Mr. Abduletif Abdalla, Head of organizational affairs in the branch office, called on the participants of the meeting to pursue work programs of quantifiable goals and objectives.
The participants exchanged views regarding the strong sides and prevailing challenges, besides addressing the vitality of reinforcing activities of youth centers vis-à-vis domestic tourism.
