The PFDJ branch in the Southern region has called for stepped-up efforts on the part of PFDJ organs and government bodies in a bid to furthering development activities and quality of civic service.
Mendefera, 04 February 2014 – The PFDJ branch in the Southern region has called for stepped-up efforts on the part of PFDJ organs and government bodies in a bid to furthering development activities and quality of civic service.
Speaking at an assessment meeting conducted in Mendefera city to this end, Mr. Kelifa Nur-Hussein, Secretary of the branch office, said that the organization of civil servants is of vital importance in this connection, in addition to the carrying out of promotional activities focusing on the prevailing challenges.
According to the reports presented at the meeting, civil servants have made remarkable input in various development activities such as renovation of dirt roads, soil and water conservation, environmental hygiene, as well as adding fervor to public events. Such participation was described vital as regards the national economy.
The participants conducted discussion focusing on accountability of future development activities vis-à-vis ways and means of their implementation, besides the measures required to higher inspire community awareness.
In closing remarks, Mr. Efrem Gebrekristos, the regional Administrator, explained that the participation of PFDJ members is a prerequisite in the implementation of development programs, and called for enhanced participation on the part of the teams of the Front’s branch office.
