Veteran Fighter Ibrahim Ahmed Ali passes away

Col. Ibrahim Ahmed Ali, a veteran Fighter who has been receiving medical treatment at Gedem Military Hospital in Massawa since the 25th of January, has passed away at the age of 89.

Massawa, 07 February 2014 – Col. Ibrahim Ahmed Ali, a veteran Fighter who has been receiving medical treatment at Gedem Military Hospital in Massawa since the 25th of January, has passed away at the age of 89.

The funeral service of the late Col. Ibrahim was conducted yesterday at Emkulu Martyrs Cemetery in the port city.

The late Col. Ibrahim Ahmed Ali who joined the ELF and EPLF in 1964 and 1970 respectively demonstrated dedication in various military operations and work as member of the Naval Force up to Independence Day, and has been serving the people with spirit of altruism.

Col. Ibrahim is married and the father of two.

In this connection, the Eritrean Naval Force conveyed message of condolence to the family members and companions of the late Veteran Fighter.
