Hagaz Administration to step up efforts towards improving community livelihood

The Administration of Hagaz city said that it would step up efforts in a bid to improve community livelihood. It made the remark at a meeting with the members of the Regional Assembly and office of the City Council, during which it was stated that such ongoing activities would gain momentum this year.

Hagaz, 08 February 2014 – The Administration of Hagaz city said that it would step up efforts in a bid to improve community livelihood. It made the remark at a meeting with the members of the Regional Assembly and office of the City Council, during which it was stated that such ongoing activities would gain momentum this year.

In this connection, Mr. Teklehaimanot Samuel, Administrator of Hagaz, pointed out that future undertakings would focus on ensuring potable water supply, finalization of the putting in place of public toilet, construction of a livestock marketplace, environmental hygiene, as well as soil and water conservation. He also disclosed that the Administration would put up more endeavors towards raising service quality on the part of tourism-related businesses, and called for higher participation of members of the People’s Army and communities in the implementation of development programs.

Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Seid, Chairman of the City Council, on his part expressed the Office’s readiness to provide the necessary consultation to the Administration.

The participants of the meeting exchanged views on several issues, and asserted that they would do their level best for the realization of the cherished goals.

In closing remarks, Ms. Amna Haj, Administrator of Hagaz sub-zone, urged the members of the City Council to demonstrate greater consultational role in endeavors aimed at promoting social service outreach and improvement of community livelihood.
