60 students in Keren obtain training in First Aid

A total of 60 students in Keren city obtained practical and theoretical training in First Aid organized by the NUEYS branch in the sub-zone in collaboration with the Health Ministry.

Keren, 10 February 2014 – A total of 60 students in Keren city obtained practical and theoretical training in First Aid organized by the NUEYS branch in the sub-zone in collaboration with the Health Ministry.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony during which it was stated that the input of such training is vital in safeguarding community wellbeing, Mr. Melles Woldegergish, Head of the branch office, indicated that the Union is working on priority basis as regards nurturing dynamic youths. He further called on youths to live up to the nation’s expectations and the beneficiaries to serve communities through the knowledge they have acquired.

Among the trainees, Hasna Osman, Saba Yemane, Osman Al-Amin and Lidia Tesfai noted the importance of the training vis-à-vis exposure to academic and extracurricular activities, and asserted that they would translate the skill knowhow they have acquired into practice.
