The inhabitants of Kudob’ur area, Emuni-Haili sub-zone, said that the health center in their area is making significant input as regards raising community awareness on health issues, and thus registering further impact with regards significantly reducing instances of mother and child mortality.

Dirko, 13 February 2014 – The inhabitants of Kudob’ur area, Emuni-Haili sub-zone, said that the health center in their area is making significant input as regards raising community awareness on health issues, and thus registering further impact with regards significantly reducing instances of mother and child mortality.

Among the community members, Ms. Mulu Ogbamariam and Mr. Woldegebriel Fissehatsion expressed satisfaction with the service the health center is rendering including that of antenatal and postnatal care.

Mr. Berhe Kidane, head of the health center, explained that the number of admissions in general and that of mothers attending maternity service in particular has shown visible rise in connection with the growing communal awareness. A remarkable accomplishment has also been registered regarding control of communicable diseases, he added.

Reports indicate that the number of individuals who received inpatient and outpatient service by the health center stands at 1,300.
