Eritrean Nigusse Amlesom ranks 2nd in half-marathon tournament in United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Eritrean Nigusse Amlesom yesterday ranked 2nd in a half-marathon RKA tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Asmara, 15 February 2014 – Eritrean Nigusse Amlesom yesterday ranked 2nd in a half-marathon RKA tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The perseverant racer lagged by 3 seconds from Ethiopian Lesisa Desisa who concluded the competition by 59 minutes and 39 seconds improving his previous record.

Kenyan athletes who consecutively seized the 3rd to 6th ranks dominated the tournament.

Meanwhile, Eritrean Girmai Gebresilasie ranked first in a similar competition in the USA concluding it in 1 hour 3 minutes and 53 seconds. The following 4 ranks were won by Kenyan competitors.
