Community Hospitals in Beit-Mekae, and Mai-Temenai rendering remarkable service following reinstatement
The residents of Beit-Mekae and Mai-Temenai, Asmara, have expressed satisfaction with the services being rendered by the recently re-launched community hospitals in the city quarters.
Asmara, 19 February 2014 – The residents of Beit-Mekae and Mai-Temenai, Asmara, have expressed satisfaction with the services being rendered by the recently re-launched community hospitals in the city quarters.
Among the community members, Ms. Widase Girmai, Ms. Fithawit Habte, Ms. Samrawit Kahsai, and Ms. Yordanos Ogbamichael indicated that the Community Hospital in Bet-Mekae has been temporarily accommodating the National Ophthalmic Hospital during its renovation finalized recently, while the one in Mai-Temenai has been relocated to a new building. In this connection, they asserted that they could avail themselves of being beneficiaries of medical services in a nearby area.
Ms. Minet Woldai, Head Nurse in the Community Hospital in Beit-Mekae, stated that it is working on priority basis as regards antenatal and postnatal care, as well as pediatric service, while Dentistry and more maternity services would be launched shortly following the assignment of medical professionals.
Likewise, Ms. Abrehet Berhe, Head of the Community Hospital in Mai-Temenai, explained that availability of such facility attests to the persistent endeavors being exerted by the Health Ministry pertaining to furthering service outreach.
