Communities and apicultural farmers call for enhanced follow up regarding preservation of wood enclosures around Dengolo area
Communities and apicultural farmers in Dengolo-Laelai and Dengolo-Tahtai have called for enhanced follow up as regards preservation of wood enclosures in the area.
Ginda, 20 February 2014 – Communities and apicultural farmers in Dengolo-Laelai and Dengolo-Tahtai have called for enhanced follow up as regards preservation of wood enclosures in the area.
They further indicated that the area has been witnessing remarkable development towards becoming an attractive woodland, and that intensified activities should be undertaken in a bid to prevent potential deforestations risks.
Mr. Hadish Wihbet and Mr. Idris Amr explained that community-assigned guards have been making commendable input as regards to preventing of deforestation, and that recent misdeeds by herdsmen have instigated anger among the community members. They also called on the local Administration and fellow inhabitants to make joint efforts with a view to avoiding possibilities of such illicit activity.
Mr. Abdalla Saleh stated on his part that environmental conservation requires integrated endeavors on the part of all concerned parties, and added that sufficient number of guards should be assigned in the enclosures.
