A potable water supply facility has been put in place in Adi-Ahderom, Gala-Nefhi sub-zone.
Asmara, 28 February 2014– A potable water supply facility has been put in place in Adi-Ahderom, Gala-Nefhi sub-zone. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwet, Administrator of the Central region explained that visible water shortage has been negatively influencing women and children in many villages, and called on the inhabitants to practice prudent utilization of the available facility.
Mr. Yemane Abai, Head of land and agriculture in the region, stated that the project is part of the government’s priority to outreach social services and lauded the significance of the projects as regards the livelihood of the community towards socio-economic background, especially ensuring potable water. The undertaking comprises solar panel and three distributor stations. He further expressed appreciation for the active participation of stakeholder’s especially the philanthropist Association of Bashu.
Among the inhabitants, Mr. Gebremeskel Hailenkiel, Ms. Shashu Teklehaimanot, Rev. Gideon Fitwi and Ms. Aberehet Gebrekidan expressed satisfaction with the potable water supply facility.
