Popular soil and water conservation undertaking in Dige sub-zone to continue at higher organizational level
The Administration of Dige sub-zone has indicated that the ongoing popular soil and water conservation undertaking would continue in highly organized manner.
Dige, 03 March 2014 – The Administration of Dige sub-zone has indicated that the ongoing popular soil and water conservation undertaking would continue in highly organized manner. It made the remark at an assessment meeting, during which it was noted that the communal venture has made remarkable impact as regards enriching soil fertility, and thus altering the pace of agricultural output.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Abdulkerim Idris, Administrator of the sub-zone, noted the vitality of popular participation regarding implementation of development programs, and that more endeavors would be made to promote accessibility of social service facilities.
In the same vein, Mr. Hintsa’ab Woldu, Head of economic development in the sub-zone, disclosed that active community participation has been witnessed in rural electrification and renovation of water pipe lines. He also urged the community members to extend a helping hand towards prevention of deforestation.
Likewise, Mr. Suleiman Mohammed Ali, Head of social service in the sub-zone, stated that commendable ambulance service is being rendered, and urged parents to demonstrate higher commitment with a view to raising school registration.
