Members of the People’s Army participating in organizing the observance of the 30th anniversary of the demise of Wiqaw Izz said that restoration of trenches in North-east Sahel shoulders responsibility for youths.

Afabet, 06 March 2014 – Members of the People’s Army participating in organizing the observance of the 30th anniversary of the demise of Wiqaw Izz said that restoration of trenches in North-east Sahel shoulders responsibility for youths.

They made the remark as they expressed satisfaction with taking part in the process of the trenches’ restoration, in connection of which they called for higher societal participation as regards protecting the historical sites where heroic feats were demonstrated.

Among the participants, Zebib Goitom, Yodit Gezae and Asma Ahmed voiced satisfaction with the exposure the voluntary task involved, and indicated that such initiatives should continue in an organized manner apart from events.

From the coordinators of the venture, Ismail Mahmoud and Mahmoud Mohammed-Adem lauded the zeal and active youth participation witnessed in the process, and stated that it attests to the prevalence of higher spirit of the spirit of nationalism among students.

A member of the People’s Army, Metkel Osman, pointed out on his part that the undertaking has significant impact as regards popularization of national values, and that remarkable input has been made through it.
