Call made for higher community participation in national development activities in Mendefera sub-zone

The Administrator of the Southern region, Mr. Efrem Gebrekristos, has called for higher community participation with a view to realizing the cherished development goals.

Mendefera, 07 March 2014 – The Administrator of the Southern region, Mr. Efrem Gebrekristos, has called for higher community participation with a view to realizing the cherished development goals. He made the call at a meeting with community representatives of the sub-zone.

Mr. Efrem pointed out that popular participation has made significant impact regarding implementation of development programs, and lauded the active participation the inhabitants have been demonstrating in various domains. He further urged the inhabitants to keep intact communal harmony and step up input in the nation-building process.

The participants of the meeting exchanged views on a number of agenda items.
